OBD Reading Protection
This option was created so tuners can prevent the copy of their work protecting a file to be read by others via OBD with any tool. By activating the read protection other functions such as write process, dealer software update, and normal diagnostic functions remain active and available.
Protection can be applied to:
BMW – Bosch EDC17
VAG Group – Bosch EDC16/EDC17/ME7/MED9
